Born in Clarksdale, MS, and lives on a farm in Senatobia, MS

Learned to play the MS Hill Blues from David Kimbrough in the Parchman Prison Band

Schooled by Blind Mississippi Morris in the rich legacy of the blues masters

Honored as the youngest white bluesman on the Mississippi Blues Trail Marker located at the front gates of Parchman Farm Mississippi State Penitentiary

Won the Mississippi Delta Blues Society of Indianola Regional Blues Challenge in 2011 with his Band and in 2022 for Solo/Duo, going on to compete in the International Blues  Challenge in Memphis

Appears in a Library of Congress documentary Music of North Mississippi Hill Country: Mark “Muleman” Massey and in Parchment Farms

Performed in Switzerland, Netherlands, and Holland

Has two albums: Mississippi Lockdown and One Step Ahead of the Blues, with a third being released in 2024
